Our spring retreat is at the world famous studio, Outlier Inn, tucked away in the Catskills of Upstate New York. Producer and engineer Jake Aron (Snail Mail, Grizzly Bear, L’Rain, Solange) will be our special guest and in-house producer for the week.
The retreat includes group conversations, classes, and one-on-one conversations with Jake, opportunities to write, play, collaborate, and jam, intentional time to rest, and daily movement, meditation, and art workshops offering tools and practices built for the work and lifestyle of an artist. Atrium offers a psychological and spiritual perspective on creativity, artistry, and living a meaningful life.
Tap back into yourself, nature, and music while connecting with an open-minded group of musicians!
Who This Retreat Is For:
Musicians, composers, producers, and songwriters who want time and space to make music, meet like-minded peers, collaborate, rest, receive support, and gain artistic and mindful tools for your life and touring. Get inspired, have fun, work through any blocks, recover from burnout, and reconnect to your why.
We hope you will leave with new connections, inspiration, mental health and creative tools, ways to protect yourself as an artist, and potentially even new music.
What This Retreat Looks Like:
Atrium Artist Retreats combine making music, learning about psychology, and opening up your creativity. You will get an opportunity to work on existing track(s) and make new music with acclaimed music producer Jake Aron in a state of the art recording studio. Jake will teach specific tools and tips on the engineering and production side of things, as this is the exact studio where he produced the Snail Mail record Lush. The Atrium team, meanwhile, will lead workshops and group exercises focused on discovering your own personal myth, unblocking creative channels, and overcoming the inner critic throughout the day.
A typical Atrium day includes yoga, meditation, working in the recording studio, crafting up new material, attening workshops, and having conversations about being a musician. The day includes fresh and local food, jamming and playing with new friends, and musing in nature.
